Easton's Fall Date Spot

The weather right now is as close to a summer we've had this year so spending every second possible outside is a must. Easton went to the pumpkin patch this past week for a little date with our friends Caroline and her daughter Nora. I was a little skeptical because this year the patch had to relocate because of the flood. I was a little disappointed that the scenery isn't as spectacular for taking photos but they added a lot of fun stuff that Easton seemed to like!

Easton playing in the little pumpkin house that my sister and I played in when we were younger too :)

The new corn sand box.. Easton was a little concerned about these kids.

It's love.

Autumnfest

I took Easton to the Autumnfest parade and I was curious to see how he was going to act.. Usually when we go anywhere he'll sit for .05 seconds and then we're onto the next thing. During the parade however, he was much better than expected! Here's a recap:

Auntie Dani and Auntie Bella went across the street to grab some to-go breakfast and Easton sat quietly in his chair eating and waiting.

Soon after, he thought he would share with Bella's baby.. so after shoving some crackers into her face he showed her where her eyes, nose, mouth and ears are.

Then finally the parade! Easton was very into it. All of the music, girls, and animals had him captivated. Especially the girls. Easton only waved at the girls. Oh, and he barked at the miniature horses to try to scare them... I have no idea where he got that from but I'm just gonna throw it out there that it's not from me.

Easton vs. Vaseline

Easton decided that it would be fun to play with the Vaseline. Mom on the other hand, not so amused. Vaseline must be from the Devil, because it is the hardest thing to get rid of.

Motherhood: The Trump Card

I may not be a stay-at-home mama, but on top of raising Easton I go to school and work two jobs. Don't get me wrong, it blows my mind how blessed I am to have such a supportive family who helps out more than their fair share so that I AM able to maintain a somewhat decent social life too. In no way am I complaining, but I just think that this article sums it up. A lot of people don't really understand that raising a child is more than a full-time job. I have a lot of friends that tell me I don't understand how exhausting their job/ life is. Correction: I do. I just prefer to make everything in my life easier than it is instead of complaining about the time I don't have, the energy I never seem to have enough of, and the to-do list that's miles long...All because I love what I do no matter the stress. Being a mom compares to nothing. It's kind of like the ultimate trump card.. and nothing will ever top it.

Cheerleading

Last Saturday, I had the morning off and was staying in town for the first time in ages. This meant that I got to go see my younger brother's football game for once. The downside? No, it wasn't raining, it wasn't windy, it was misting. That nasty rain that doesn't really get you wet, just makes you feel like your standing on top of a frozen snowbank in your birthday suit. It was awesome to say the least.

Anyways, Easton's quite the little cheerleader. Not only does he get excited when he sees any kind of sport (football!! football!!) he likes to cheer and clap. He's such a supportive nephew.

After that, I was not going to let the weather stop me from getting my once-a-year Indian taco fix. So off we went to the streetfair to get the delicious Indian taco below and boy, that thing was delicious.

Hair, Nails, and Fall Colds

Fall is here! And with that comes a new hairstyle :

My nails this week:
Feather nails. Me being the perfectionist I am became very frustrated when I started to do these since I felt it was necessary to have every bit perfect. After figuring out a few different tricks I got the hang of it and can't wait to wear this little style a few more times this fall. I got the idea here.

And we can't forget about our Sunday brunch at Peacock Alley. Easton was decked-out in Spiderman gear (shoes, shirt, zip-up, backpack) with a flannel and his new shades he picked out himself. He's definitely a heartthrob with the ladies.. and not sure how I feel about that one.

Besides that, there's been a lot of sickness going on in our house. I have a cold that I got from my sister and Easton has some funky stomach thing.. no idea where he managed to pick it up from or what's causing it.. so hopefully it passes soon before I have to drag his little diaper butt to the doctors.

Four Eyes

"Easton! You're a boyfriend now!" : Bella.

I'm not too sure what she means by that.. but he still looks like a pretty cute nerd.

Easton's Wild Side

Easton has an obsession with my parent's motorcycle. Usually I just let him sit on it in the garage and he thinks he's the coolest kid on the block. Well, this Sunday, Easton's dreams came true. His Grandpa decided to take him on a slow ride around our cul-de-sac and I have never seen that child so speechless. He loved every second of it he refused to get off. I'm not the greatest fan of this since I dislike motorcycles greatly.. at least he still has 14 more years until he can get his license. Maybe this motorcycle obsession will pass...

Dirty pajamas always end up in the best photos..

These photos were taken by my sister's friend Peyton. I'm pretty sure that whenever anyone has a photo shoot with Easton he's in his pajamas.. and they're dirty from breakfast. Oh well, just another addition to how adorable he is.

Look at that grin...

My son, the bully.

I know that this video looks horrible, and no, I am not encouraging him being a bully...but you have to admit, his innocence is hilarious. Auntie Bella didn't seem to mind...

WE'RE BACK

I have been absolutely horrible with keeping up the past.. er.. month? We've been so busy! Trying to find daycare, me getting ready for school.. oh, and I also went to Vegas. Not like it was amazing or anything..

But, now that I'm back and school has started we've fallen into more of a schedule.. which means (drum roll please).. more blogging! Well, as long as school is good to me this semester.

I'm just going to use this update to post a bunch of random photos from the past while.. You've been warned.

Here comes the cuteness!

Glaring at me on the way to Harmon Lake.. I wasn't supposed to watch him read.

He's started modeling. No big deal.

The only thing at the SuperSlide Amusement Park that Easton enjoys.

ZOO!

Another week flies by..

This week has been super busy for us. I'm not really sure why considering now that I look back, not too much was accomplished. Our excitement of the week was Easton getting into a daycare! Aside from how depressing for me that also is, I'm a lot more stress-free because of it. Easton's been understanding a lot more this week too. His words some days are clear and understandable as ever, but then the next day it will all sound like a bunch of sounds running together..pretty soon it's just going to be strings of sentences and non-stop talking..not sure if I'm ready for that. Anyways, here are some photos from our week:

Sunday: We played outside for most of the day. Hosed down the highchair (which Easton has now stopped using, yay!), washed my car, played for hours with the house, and ate frozen beans (someone was a little impatient waiting for dinner).

Monday: A lot more playing around the house... oh, and Easton sneaking into the filling tub fully clothed.

Tuesday: No photos, and I can't even remember what we did..

Wednesday: Of course more playing around and Easton baking with Grandma.

Thursday: Easton watched Rio on the laptop (because that's better than the TV?) and spent a lot of his time "cleaning" in and outside. Also showed off his new tricks on his 4wheeler. I was not impressed by how much of a daredevil he is.

Friday: Another day spent like the rest, but I got a good photo of Easton during our "Where's your eye (nose, mouth, etc.)? and every time he shows you his nose, he has to shove his little finger right up there.

Another week spent like the rest, but of course better than the last. Now it's time for this mama to go get her Sunday fix of True Blood.

Frozen Food Fanatic

Easton has started not only helping pick out his clothes, but helping pick out what lunch will be. The only thing he doesn't have is patience. He'll sit there and start devouring frozen veggies, fish sticks, hot dogs, anything. I think it is absolutely disgusting.. but boys will be boys right?

Easton's Weekend

Easton got to go out of town with my family while I had to stay behind and work. Here are a few photos from his weekend with all the cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents that were sent to me from them..

Cousin Mingmay!

Our Week In Photos

Our week in ipod/blackberry photos!

Sunday: We went to brunch with the whole family where Easton pigged out on broccoli (sometimes I wonder if he really is my child..) Bella had fun in the rain with the umbrella and we also had a pizza night. Then we ran into some criticism at the gas station while we were waiting to pick up our pizza. An older woman making remarks about how "kids shouldn't be having kids". Anyways, after that little catastrophe we had bath time and Easton ate lotion, like always. I went on a walk with Kevyn and the sunset over the (flooding) river was spectacular!

Monday: I already wrote about (and used) all of these photos in a previous post. But to recap, Monday we went to Raging Rivers with Julie and Sean where the boys had an absolute blast.

Tuesday: Nothing too out of the ordinary here either. CHEESE! for breakfast on the deck, then we went to the toddler park (this was the day of our AMAZING discovery) and had lunch at Peacock.

Wednesday: We played around at home and things again.. These photos are of Easton brushing his teeth (one of the thousandths of time he did that night). I think he just likes the taste of toothpaste.

Thursday: We ventured out and ran some errands but spent most of the night at Peacock having dinner and hanging out with the family.

Friday: No pictures because Easton left Mommy for the weekend! He went to Fargo/Moorhead to visit all of our family while I had to stay home and work nonstop.

Throwback Thursday

Today Easton and I didn't do too much venturing out into our world. We had fun watching the morning rain and having dinner at Peacock with the whole clan. I didn't take many photos today since our day didn't have too much excitement.. but here's a throwback of June 2010. Obviously, I'm missing the river so here's a photo of Easton on the boat!

and here is Easton tonight during his routine of running wild to get all his energy out before bed. We were obviously really excited.

A Picnic In The Park

After our recent discovery of the best toddler park this entire state probably has to offer, we decided to go again. Today, we packed a little picnic and had our friend Becca join us on our little adventure. Easton loved the idea of being able to eat a few bites, run and play, come back and eat, and so on considering this isn't allowed at the dinner table. He was quite the storyteller with the kids there today again and they all were giving each other hugs and playing games within minutes of meeting. How easy it is to get along when you're kids!
